just another day...

so, derek is in his probationary period of his new job with vista fire dept and in his first three weeks he goes through a fire academy put on by the department. now yesterday, as part of their studying of fire prevention, the probationary fire fighters went on a field trip to a local warehouse in order to view a new type of building. the funny part of the story is that this wasn't just ANY warehouse, it was the manufacturing plant for Astroglide. now if you know what that is, (if not, think 'personal' aisle of the drugstore) you can imagine trying to keep a straightface walking through the place. derek said every employee was VERY happy to work there. and OF COURSE the leader of the tour insisted on handing out 'goodybags' full of their products. HA!
